Sore Right Tonsil / Throat?

Woke up this morning with a sore throat but only on the right hand side which makes me think its my right tonsil, have googled this but have found nothing, it looks swollen to me but im not expert, there aren't any white dots or marks on my tonsil it just looks red and looks bigger than the left one, I don't have a cold or anything like that so its a bit odd, hurts to swallow though. Anyone else had this happen to them? TIA
