Am i overreacting? Or did he really mean the things he said?

There is this guy jeremy and hes interested in me. We met through friends, See for my friends Quincea�era im apart of her court and jeremy is my escort. He said i was cute and Sunday he asked my best friend for my number and we started texting. He was calling me dude, dawg and stuff so i assumed he wanted to be friends. He just one of those skaters boys that talk like that. My best friend isabella and her boyfriend Eduardo have been dating for about a year, Jeremy is Eduardo's best friend. I told isabella that he calls me that and she told eduardo. He goes to Jeremy and said how if he wants to get to know me he cant say that kind of stuff. So then, He started being really sweet and was asking all these questions trying to get to know me, calling me beautiful, cutie and stuff. Then i found out Eduardo told him to say those things. Does that matter? Ergh. I feel like he didn't mean it. Isabella said he just ' needed a push '
