What is the process of buying a used car from out of state?

Here is the story- I'm very interested in purchasing a 1998 Toyota Supra from a private seller in Tampa Florida. I'm from New Orleans. The set price is $17,000 for the car. I'm flying over there to go check it out and if I like it I will drive it back. Is $17,000 all I need, or will I need more money for transferring the title to my name? State Tax is also a question here. What is the TOTAL amount I would need to drive it back? If someone can clear all of this up I would really appreciate it. TIA!
